In May 2012 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Irish Art, which included the work Off The Mumbles by James Harris of Swansea. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,459.56), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by James Harris of Swansea have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Topsail Schooner And Two Swansea Luggers Caught In A Sudden Squall Off The South Wales Coast, With Singleton Abbey Beyond in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 54,000.00 (€ 78,137.10).

Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Off The Mumbles von James Harris of Swansea zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.459,56) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Harris of Swansea auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Topsail Schooner And Two Swansea Luggers Caught In A Sudden Squall Off The South Wales Coast, With Singleton Abbey Beyond im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 54.000,00 (€ 78.137,10).
