Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A rough shoot; Grouse for the bag; and Returning home by James Hardy, Jnr was sold in the Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs auction at Christies in London in November 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,626.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Hardy, Jnr achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The midday meal on the moors in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 86,250.00 (€ 138,399.44).

Die Arbeit A rough shoot; Grouse for the bag; and Returning home von James Hardy, Jnr wurde im November 2007 in der Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 9.626,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Hardy, Jnr erzielen.
