In March 2015 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, Pre Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work A young gamekeeper with a pony and dogs by James Hardy, Jnr. The result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,912.76) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Hardy, Jnr achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The midday meal on the moors in May 2000 with an auction result of GBP 86,250.00 (€ 138,399.44).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.912,76) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00.
