Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study #1 for "Twilight", 1999 by James Doolin was sold in the Contemporary Art & Editions Online auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in December 2019. The price achieved of USD 1,657.50 (€ 1,476.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by James Doolin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Twilight in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 14,201.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Study #1 for "Twilight", 1999 von James Doolin wurde im Dezember 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art & Editions Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.657,50 (€ 1.476,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Doolin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Twilight im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 14.201,86).
