This artwork by James Cumming achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May last year. In the Scottish Art auction, the work Three Vessels sold for GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,499.92) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by James Cumming; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Churn and Seltzer bottle in the window sold at auction in July 2013 with the realized price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,285.35).

Dieses Kunstwerk von James Cumming erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Scottish Art wurde die Arbeit Three Vessels für GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.499,92) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von James Cumming; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Churn and Seltzer bottle in the window im Juli 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.285,35).
