The work Christmas by James Clark was sold in the British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2013. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,084.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Christmas is the most expensive artwork by James Clark that we have observed at auctions so far.
