Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction 19th Century and British Impressionist Art, which included the work The Fisherman's Lesson by James Campbell. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 5,355.00 (€ 6,290.75). Admittedly, works by James Campbell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Our Village Clockmaker Solving A Problem in February 2019 with an auction result of GBP 36,250.00 (€ 42,286.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Fisherman's Lesson von James Campbell zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 5.355,00 (€ 6.290,75) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Campbell auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Our Village Clockmaker Solving A Problem im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 36.250,00 (€ 42.286,89).
