Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mount Cenis with a cross in the foreground by James Burrell Smith was sold in the British Art on Paper including the Collection and Studio of auction at Christies in London in March 2003. The price achieved of GBP 352.50 (€ 510.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Burrell Smith achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Anglers by a rapid; and A waterfall in a mountainous landscape in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,715.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mount Cenis with a cross in the foreground von James Burrell Smith wurde im März 2003 in der Auktion British Art on Paper including the Collection and Studio of bei Christies in London versteigert.
