The work The Anchor Board - circa 1980 by James Brown was auctioned at Artcurial in February this year. The price achieved of EUR 157.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 120.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ohne Titel in June 2019 with an auction result of EUR 64,480.00.

Die Arbeit The Anchor Board - circa 1980 von James Brown kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 157,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 120,00 – 200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Brown erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ohne Titel im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 64.480,00.
