Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'The Stanghound and the Charger racing' by James Brereton was sold in the The Marine Sale auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. The price achieved of GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,800.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Brereton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cornish breakers, which sold at auction in May 2012 for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,344.67).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.800,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden.
