Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by James Brereton could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2008 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Chasing the smuggler changed hands for GBP 100.00 (€ 120.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Brereton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cornish breakers in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,344.67).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Brereton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cornish breakers im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.344,67).
