A top price for James Aumonier - as previously expected
In March 2009 Sothebys in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures & 20th Century British Art, which included the work British A Wide Pasture by James Aumonier. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,717.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, British A Wide Pasture is the most expensive artwork by James Aumonier that we have observed at auctions so far.
