Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2020 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction California and Western Art, which included the work Early Morning by James A. Fetherolf. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,670.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James A. Fetherolf - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Desert landscape, which sold at auction in April 2019 for USD 10,075.00 (€ 8,994.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2020 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion California and Western Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Early Morning von James A. Fetherolf zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.670,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von James A. Fetherolf mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Desert landscape beobachtet, die im April 2019 für USD 10.075,00 (€ 8.994,73) versteigert wurde.
