The work Zonnebloemen by Jakob Nieweg was sold in the Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours auction at Sothebys in Amsterdam in March 2007. It achieved a price of EUR 4,560.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 30 %. Admittedly, works by Jakob Nieweg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portret Charley Toorop in December 2006 with an auction result of EUR 28,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Zonnebloemen von Jakob Nieweg wurde im März 2007 in der Auktion Paintings, Drawings and Watercolours bei Sothebys in Amsterdam versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 4.560,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 30 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jakob Nieweg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portret Charley Toorop im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 28.800,00.
