Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Prince Frederick Adolf, Duke of Östergötland (1750-1803) by Jakob Björck was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June 2019, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 100,000.00 – 125,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 75,000.00 (€ 7,140.96). Other works by Jakob Björck have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2010 by the work "Drottning Lovisa Ulrika" (1720-1782) at SEK 125,000.00 (€ 13,109.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Prince Frederick Adolf, Duke of Östergötland (1750-1803) von Jakob Björck im Juni 2019 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 100.000,00 – 125.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 75.000,00 (€ 7.140,96) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Jakob Björck wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni 2010 die Arbeit "Drottning Lovisa Ulrika" (1720-1782) mit SEK 125.000,00 (€ 13.109,19).
