Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tinzouline Oued Draa by Jacques Majorelle was auctioned at Artcurial in Marrakech in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of MAD 330,000.00 – 550,000.00, the actual price achieved of MAD 338,000.00 (€ 31,954.41) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Majorelle achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Kasbah Rouge (Freija), 1924 in June 2011 with an auction result of EUR 1,280,450.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tinzouline Oued Draa von Jacques Majorelle kam im Dezember 2021 bei Artcurial in Marrakesch zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von MAD 330.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von MAD 338.000,00 (€ 31.954,41) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Majorelle erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Kasbah Rouge (Freija), 1924 im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.280.450,00.
