Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In July 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work Elk in a river landscape by Jacques-Laurent Agasse. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 62,500.00 (€ 74,263.52). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques-Laurent Agasse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dash, a setter in a wooded landscape in July 2011 with an auction result of GBP 825,250.00 (€ 947,097.83).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im Juli 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Elk in a river landscape von Jacques-Laurent Agasse zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 62.500,00 (€ 74.263,52) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques-Laurent Agasse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dash, a setter in a wooded landscape im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 825.250,00 (€ 947.097,83).
