Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work The port of the Béguinage in Lier, Belgium by Jacques Carabain. It changed hands for a price of EUR 6,875.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Carabain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Constantinople in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 144,000.00 (€ 213,688.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The port of the Béguinage in Lier, Belgium von Jacques Carabain zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 6.875,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Carabain erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Constantinople im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 144.000,00 (€ 213.688,76).
