Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2016 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work A Family In A Sunlit Street by Jacques Carabain. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,273.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Carabain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Constantinople in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 144,000.00 (€ 213,688.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Family In A Sunlit Street von Jacques Carabain zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.273,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Carabain erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Constantinople im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 144.000,00 (€ 213.688,76).
