In January 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Cavalry Advancing by Jacques Courtois for USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,224.62). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, Including Property from The Forbes Collection: The Panorama of Champigny at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Courtois achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Putti And Children Surrounded By Fruit, Formal Gardens Beyond in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 70,000.00 (€ 81,841.36).
