Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Ecole de Paris, which included the work Le Catalan by Jacques Chapiro. It changed hands for a price of EUR 3,825.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacques Chapiro have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of a young girl in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 28,193.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Ecole de Paris durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Catalan von Jacques Chapiro zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 3.825,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacques Chapiro auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait of a young girl im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 28.193,82).
