In December 2010 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Paintings, 19th Century Sculptures, Miniatures, which included the work Vue De La Via Basilica À Pescara by Jacques Carabain. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,840.00 41% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Carabain achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Constantinople in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 144,000.00 (€ 213,688.76).

Im Dezember 2010 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Paintings, 19th Century Sculptures, Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vue De La Via Basilica À Pescara von Jacques Carabain zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.840,00 und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Carabain erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Constantinople im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 144.000,00 (€ 213.688,76).
