Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jacques Azema achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Marrakech in May last year. In the A Moroccan Spring auction, the work Les Musiciens sold for MAD 39,360.00 (€ 3,924.63) - well above the upper estimate of MAD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacques Azema - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hammam, 1960, which sold at auction in December 2021 for MAD 130,000.00 (€ 12,290.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacques Azema erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Marrakesch einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion A Moroccan Spring wurde die Arbeit Les Musiciens für MAD 39.360,00 (€ 3.924,63) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von MAD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacques Azema mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hammam, 1960 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2021 für MAD 130.000,00 (€ 12.290,16) versteigert wurde.
