Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Christies in London held the auction The Philosophy of Gordon Watson: Collecting Contemporary Art, Silver and Design, which included the work A Desk, Circa 1950 by Jacques Adnet. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,070.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacques Adnet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Colonne éclairante - Circa 1934 in October last year with an auction result of EUR 328,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Philosophy of Gordon Watson: Collecting Contemporary Art, Silver and Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Desk, Circa 1950 von Jacques Adnet zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.070,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacques Adnet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Colonne éclairante - Circa 1934 im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 328.000,00.
