Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2002 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN & INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS, which included the work The Wedding by Jacqueline Hick. The price achieved of AUD 6,815.00 (€ 3,818.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacqueline Hick - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Quiet Drink, 1940s, which sold at auction in May last year for AUD 9,225.00 (€ 8,596.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2002 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN & INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Wedding von Jacqueline Hick zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 6.815,00 (€ 3.818,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacqueline Hick mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Quiet Drink, 1940s beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für AUD 9.225,00 (€ 8.596,59) versteigert wurde.
