A top price for Jacopo Vignali - as previously expected
The work David with the Head of Goliath by Jacopo Vignali was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Bonhams in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 162,750.00 (€ 181,806.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, David with the Head of Goliath is the most expensive artwork by Jacopo Vignali that we have observed at auctions so far.
