Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait of a gentleman, possibly of the Strozzi family, full-length, in black doublet, mantle and pantaloons, wearing a sword, his hat on the carpet-draped table beside, with a draped curtain and a lap-dog by Jacopo da Empoli was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2009, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, th However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacopo da Empoli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Study Of A Boy, which sold at auction in July 2018 for GBP 47,500.00 (€ 53,257.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portrait of a gentleman, possibly of the Strozzi family, full-length, in black doublet, mantle and pantaloons, wearing a sword, his hat on the carpet-draped table beside, with a draped curtain and a lap-dog von Jacopo da Empoli im Dezember 2009 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
