This artwork by Jacobus Melchior van Herck achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in May 2002. In the OLD MASTER PICTURES auction, the work Tulips, roses, hyacinths and other flowers in a sculpted vase, with pears and grapes on a stone ledge sold for EUR 15,535.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jacobus Melchior van Herck; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait of Maria Luisa of Savoy, Queen of Spain, in a garland held aloft by putti with flowers in a landscape sold at auction in December 2002 with the realized price of GBP 19,975.00 (€ 30,662.63).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacobus Melchior van Herck erzielte im Mai 2002 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES wurde die Arbeit Tulips, roses, hyacinths and other flowers in a sculpted vase, with pears and grapes on a stone ledge für EUR 15.535,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jacobus Melchior van Herck; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Portrait of Maria Luisa of Savoy, Queen of Spain, in a garland held aloft by putti with flowers in a landscape im Dezember 2002 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 19.975,00 (€ 30.662,63).
