Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings, which included the work A Young Man At A Writing Desk by Jacobus Levecq. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,850.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacobus Levecq achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Young Man In Black, Half-Length in January 2013 with an auction result of USD 182,500.00 (€ 134,349.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2013 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Young Man At A Writing Desk von Jacobus Levecq zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.850,43) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacobus Levecq erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Young Man In Black, Half-Length im Januar 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 182.500,00 (€ 134.349,23).
