In the The Gyrn Castle House Sale, North Wales.Property from Gyrn Castle, Nantlys, Mostyn Hall and Capesthorne Hall auction, the work Heads of Illustrious Persons of Great Britain sold for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,756.66) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacobus Houbracken - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Large Group Of Portraits, which sold at auction in June 2011 for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,531.57).
