Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jacob van Ruisdael could be acquired at Christies in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction, the work A wooded landscape with cottages and a figure and dogs on a dirt path changed hands for USD 62,500.00 (€ 54,103.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob van Ruisdael achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A wooded landscape with a man and two dogs on a path, a cottage beyond in July last year with an auction result of GBP 3,382,500.00 (€ 4,039,305.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacob van Ruisdael konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Christies für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings and Sculpture wechselte die Arbeit A wooded landscape with cottages and a figure and dogs on a dirt path für USD 62.500,00 (€ 54.103,19) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob van Ruisdael erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A wooded landscape with a man and two dogs on a path, a cottage beyond im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.382.500,00 (€ 4.039.305,77).
