Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work View Of The Ripa Grande, Rome by Jacob van der Ulft. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,313.00 (€ 3,911.22) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob van der Ulft achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Tivoli from the north in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 63,065.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit View Of The Ripa Grande, Rome von Jacob van der Ulft zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.313,00 (€ 3.911,22) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob van der Ulft erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View of Tivoli from the north im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 63.065,72).
