Sold at the lower estimate price
The work View of Capo di Bove, near Rome, with the tomb of Cecilia Metella by Jacob van der Ulft was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2015. The result of EUR 6,000.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob van der Ulft achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View of Tivoli from the north in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 63,065.72).
