Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jacob van Doordt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2020. In the Old Masters including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection auction, the work Portrait Of A Danish Nobleman, Circa 1615 sold for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 6,938.19) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob van Doordt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Unknown, which sold at auction in November 2010 for GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,887.47).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacob van Doordt erzielte im Mai 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of A Danish Nobleman, Circa 1615 für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 6.938,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob van Doordt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Unknown beobachtet, die im November 2010 für GBP 22.500,00 (€ 26.887,47) versteigert wurde.
