A top price for Jacob Ritsema - as previously expected
The work Willows by a stream by Jacob Ritsema was sold in the Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2006. The price achieved of EUR 960.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Willows by a stream is the most expensive artwork by Jacob Ritsema that we have observed at auctions so far.
