The work En Hollande: Windmill By The Waterside by Jacob Ritsema was sold in the Pictures Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2005. The price achieved of EUR 960.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, En Hollande: Windmill By The Waterside is the most expensive artwork by Jacob Ritsema that we have observed at auctions so far.
