Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Singing Violinist, Probably A Self-Portrait, Set Within A Niche by Jacob Ochtervelt was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2007. It achieved a price of GBP 72,500.00 (€ 98,515.20), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 21%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Ochtervelt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Child And Nurse In The Foyer Of An Elegant Townhouse, The Parents Beyond in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 4,421,000.00 (€ 3,274,814.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
