Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jacob van Ruisdael could be acquired at Sothebys in London in December 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Masters Evening Sale auction, the work Landscape with cornfields and a thatched barn |《麥田與茅舍風景》 changed hands for GBP 75,600.00 (€ 84,451.94) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob van Ruisdael achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A wooded landscape with a man and two dogs on a path, a cottage beyond in July last year with an auction result of GBP 3,382,500.00 (€ 4,039,305.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacob van Ruisdael konnte im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale wechselte die Arbeit Landscape with cornfields and a thatched barn |《麥田與茅舍風景》 für GBP 75.600,00 (€ 84.451,94) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob van Ruisdael erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A wooded landscape with a man and two dogs on a path, a cottage beyond im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.382.500,00 (€ 4.039.305,77).
