Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Evening Sale, which included the work Landscape with a cottage and stone bridge under a cloudy sky |《陰天下的茅屋與石橋風景》 by Jacob van Ruisdael. The price achieved of GBP 983,000.00 (€ 1,098,098.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob van Ruisdael - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A wooded landscape with a man and two dogs on a path, a cottage beyond, which sold at auction in July last year for GBP 3,382,500.00 (€ 4,039,305.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape with a cottage and stone bridge under a cloudy sky |《陰天下的茅屋與石橋風景》 von Jacob van Ruisdael zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 983.000,00 (€ 1.098.098,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob van Ruisdael mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A wooded landscape with a man and two dogs on a path, a cottage beyond beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für GBP 3.382.500,00 (€ 4.039.305,77) versteigert wurde.
