Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jacob van Ruisdael achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2020. In the Old Masters Paintings & Sculpture auction, the work A dune landscape with a distant view of Haarlem sold for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 62,742.59) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob van Ruisdael achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A wooded landscape with a man and two dogs on a path, a cottage beyond in July last year with an auction result of GBP 3,382,500.00 (€ 4,039,305.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacob van Ruisdael erzielte im Juli 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Paintings & Sculpture wurde die Arbeit A dune landscape with a distant view of Haarlem für GBP 56.250,00 (€ 62.742,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob van Ruisdael erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A wooded landscape with a man and two dogs on a path, a cottage beyond im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.382.500,00 (€ 4.039.305,77).
