Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape by Jacob Hendrik Pierneef was auctioned at Bonhams in London in October last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 57,000.00 (€ 66,404.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jacob Hendrik Pierneef have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kransberg, Rustenburg, Transvaal in November last year with an auction result of USD 277,200.00 (€ 268,526.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Jacob Hendrik Pierneef kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 57.000,00 (€ 66.404,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Hendrik Pierneef auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kransberg, Rustenburg, Transvaal im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 277.200,00 (€ 268.526,59).
