This artwork by Jacob Duck achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in February 2013. In the Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture auction, the work "Tickled Sleep" (Bordello Scene With Sleeping Couple) sold for USD 53,125.00 (€ 40,618.55) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacob Duck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Allegory of Faith in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 542,500.00 (€ 391,131.94).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacob Duck erzielte im Februar 2013 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture wurde die Arbeit "Tickled Sleep" (Bordello Scene With Sleeping Couple) für USD 53.125,00 (€ 40.618,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Duck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Allegory of Faith im Januar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 542.500,00 (€ 391.131,94).
