Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jacob Duck could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in January 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Master Paintings: Part I auction, the work Almsgiving In A Notary'S Office changed hands for USD 60,000.00 (€ 53,144.38) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jacob Duck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Allegory of Faith in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 542,500.00 (€ 391,131.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacob Duck konnte im Januar 2015 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Master Paintings: Part I wechselte die Arbeit Almsgiving In A Notary'S Office für USD 60.000,00 (€ 53.144,38) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Duck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Allegory of Faith im Januar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 542.500,00 (€ 391.131,94).
