Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In February 2013 Sothebys in New York held the auction Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture, which included the work A Guardroom Interior With A Seated Woman Amongst Plunder by Jacob Duck. Here, the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 62,500.00 (€ 47,786.53). Admittedly, works by Jacob Duck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Allegory of Faith in January 2010 with an auction result of USD 542,500.00 (€ 391,131.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2013 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Guardroom Interior With A Seated Woman Amongst Plunder von Jacob Duck zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 62.500,00 (€ 47.786,53) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jacob Duck auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Allegory of Faith im Januar 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 542.500,00 (€ 391.131,94).
