Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Village Landscape with Sheep and Figures by Jacob Cats was sold in the Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries auction at Sothebys in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 7,560.00 (€ 9,027.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacob Cats - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Month Of December: A Winter Landscape With Skaters And Sledges On A Frozen River By A Village, Possibly The Village Of Nieuwland, Near Leerdam, which sold at auction in January 2016 for USD 26,250.00 (€ 24,233.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Village Landscape with Sheep and Figures von Jacob Cats wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Master Works on Paper from Five Centuries bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 7.560,00 (€ 9.027,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacob Cats mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Month Of December: A Winter Landscape With Skaters And Sledges On A Frozen River By A Village, Possibly The Village Of Nieuwland, Near Leerdam beobachtet, die im Januar 2016 für USD 26.250,00 (€ 24.233,75) versteigert wurde.
