Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jacob Cats could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part II. Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900 auction, the work A Cottage On A Forest Path (Recto); Study Of A Tree (Verso); And A Cottage In A Clearing Near Ankeveen (Pl. 6) changed hands for EUR 875.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jacob Cats achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Month Of December: A Winter Landscape With Skaters And Sledges On A Frozen River By A Village, Possibly The Village Of Nieuwland, Near Leerdam in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 26,250.00 (€ 24,233.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacob Cats konnte im Dezember 2014 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part II. Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900 wechselte die Arbeit A Cottage On A Forest Path (Recto); Study Of A Tree (Verso); And A Cottage In A Clearing Near Ankeveen (Pl. 6) für EUR 875,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jacob Cats erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Month Of December: A Winter Landscape With Skaters And Sledges On A Frozen River By A Village, Possibly The Village Of Nieuwland, Near Leerdam im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 26.250,00 (€ 24.233,75).
