Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Jacques Zon could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work A Figure Crossing A Bridge In An Italian Town; And Travellers On A Hillside Track changed hands for GBP 836.50 (€ 1,218.67) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Jacques Zon have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in July 2003 by the work Horses on the beach at EUR 2,151.00.
