Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Christies in New York held the auction ADAM: Works from the Collection of Adam Lindemann, which included the work Riches and Fame by Jack Pierson. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 40,320.00 (€ 37,086.09) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jack Pierson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The One and Only in February 2008 with an auction result of GBP 334,100.00 (€ 436,989.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion ADAM: Works from the Collection of Adam Lindemann durch, in der auch die Arbeit Riches and Fame von Jack Pierson zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 37.086,09) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jack Pierson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The One and Only im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 334.100,00 (€ 436.989,69).
