In June 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS & DRAWINGS INCLUDING FLOWER PICTURES, which included the work A summer bouquet by Jakob Nieweg. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,585.00 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jakob Nieweg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portret Charley Toorop in December 2006 with an auction result of EUR 28,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2002 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS & DRAWINGS INCLUDING FLOWER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A summer bouquet von Jakob Nieweg zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.585,00 und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jakob Nieweg auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portret Charley Toorop im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 28.800,00.
