Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs, which included the work The impertinent thief by J. Morris. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 660.00 (€ 971.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by J. Morris have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2007 the work Fireside companions was auctioned for GBP 780.00 (€ 1,147.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife & Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit The impertinent thief von J. Morris zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 660,00 (€ 971,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von J. Morris konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2007 die Arbeit Fireside companions für GBP 780,00 (€ 1.147,82) versteigert.
